Research Themes
Within the BEAA partnership, environmental sciences and health are primarily centred at Bangor, while agricultural sciences are mainly concentrated at Aberystwyth. This has allowed us to develop our own thematic foci and specialised infrastructures, at the same time as benefitting from the synergistic potential of inter-institutional and interdisciplinary collaborations.
The main areas of activity are:
-
Animal and microbial sciences
-
Ecosystem conservation and resource management
-
Genome diversity and environmental and evolutionary biology
-
Integration of catchment and coastal processes
-
Earth system science and climate change
